As the Points Unlimited promotion comes to an end on April 30, a new one takes over. Starting May 1, Hilton Honors members can earn Double Points on every stay through August 31. Members need to register to the spring/summer promotion. Unlike the other competing loyalty program, the promotion is effective as of the first stay. I never understood why some programs would impose rules such as "starting on your second stay".
Hilton Honors Double Points Promotion details
Here are some details on the upcoming promotion. Members needs to register.
You can register to promotion on the Double Points registration page.
The promotion stay period is May 1 until August 31, 2018.
It applies to more than 5,000 hotels worldwide and there are neither no minimum stay requirement nor caps.
Remember Hilton Honors new Elite Tier accrual bonuses apply on top the standard 10 base points earned per US$1 spent on stays:
- Silver members receive a 20% bonus on base points;
- Gold members get a 80% bonus on base points;
- Diamond members get 100% bonus on base points;
These bonuses add-up quickly and allow Hilton Honors members to get closer and faster to reward stays and Elite status perks. Hilton has a huge property portfolio that caters to your travel taste and life occasions. I have reviewed a few properties such as the DoubleTree Doha and the Trianon Palace Versailles, a Waldorf Astoria. The latter is the best hotel in Versailles and happens to be a the gates of the Chateau de Versailles' Trianon Estates.
Hilton Honors Double Points is also convenient for short and less expensive stays. Hilton properties in countries such as Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia and Poland feature very competitive rates which would allow for longer stays as well.
I think this promotion is more attractive than its competitors. The main reason is that Hilton doesn't impose on its Honors members to accrue bonus points starting at the second stay. I find that rule to be unfair. Stay tuned as Hilton Honors will launch the registration page. I will share it with you on this updated post.
