Marriott Bonvoy is doing it again this year. It is offering its members the opportunity to earn 1,000 bonus points and an extra Elite Night Credit for every paid night.

This means every night will count twice in the promotion period from February 8 to May 4, 2022. This will allow many to reach Elite status faster. Marriott has not applied any caps or limits to the number of bonus points or elite night credits, making this promotion an excellent opportunity for a mattress run.

Members can register here.

Reward nights are excluded from the promotion and all bookings have to be done via Marriott.com, Marriott Bonvoy mobile app or through a reservation centre.

Great Marriott Reward Stays

Earning Elite status and many points combined with the American Express Marriott Bonvoy card will allow you to afford some great premium stays across the Marriott portfolio. Here are some premium properties I scored in the recent past. Remember that reward rates have gone down and it’s still a great time to book there luxury hotels before Marriott changes come into effect and travel picks-up.

JW Marriott Vancouver

This downtown property is by located on the shores of False Creek. I scored a suite at 35,000 points and using 1 Suite Night Award. Breakfast was covered altough I didn’t understand why the lounge was not open.

The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert

Gorgeous individual villas in the middle of a dune desert at only 60,000 per night. Ritz-Carlton does not offer complimentary breakfast, even for top Elite Status members.

Al Bustan Palace Ritz-Carlton Muscat

It’s hard to leave this green heaven that’s surrounded by mountains and a blue sea. At 50,000 points per night, it’s worth planning a 5 night stay there.
