When flying on British Airways (regular and codeshare flights) you can earn British Airways Avios miles and Tier Points. Tier Points allow you to climb the Elite status ladder toward Bronze, Silver and Gold.

If you haven’t included your BA Executive Club number at the time of booking or at check-in you can still claim your missing miles for up to the last 6 month with BA, BA partners and non-airline partners. However, you only have 3 months prior to joining the loyalty program for BA and BA partner flights.

Step 2 Find your ticket number & enter it

In your emails you’ll probably find your ticket number. British Airways, like all other airlines, sends an e-ticket receipt containing your booking info. The information you need is the ticket number that starts with 125. That number is followed by a dash and 10 digits.

You will find it towards the bottom of your email under Payment Information.

Once you have your ticket number, enter it as shown below. You will be taken by default to the British Airways flights missing miles claim form.

  1. What if my flights are booked and paid for by the company I work for and I don’t have a ticket number, only a locator number. Can I still claim Avios points?

  2. Katherine,

Your air ticket is under your name. Only you can earn miles on an airfare under your name. So yes you can claim the miles.
You should have received an email receipt with your ticket or PNR number? Was it a BA or oneworld partner flight?
